Maeil Mail is a POP/SMTP email client for Android and iOS. The app allows users to receive, read, send, reply to, forward, delete, and manage email from email accounts configured by the user.

Information the App Handles
Maeil Mail may handle the following information when you use the app:
- Email account settings, such as email address, display name, server address, port, SSL settings, STARTTLS settings, username, and server retention period.
- Email account password entered by the user.
- Received and sent email content, including sender, recipients, subject, message body, dates, links, inline images, and attachments.
- Contact information saved in the app address book, such as name and email address.
- Files, photos, or documents selected by the user as email attachments.
- Local notification and badge information used to notify the user about new email.
How Information Is Used
The app uses this information only to provide email client features, including:
- Connecting to POP servers to receive email.
- Connecting to SMTP servers to send email.
- Displaying received and sent email locally in the app.
- Saving email locally so users can read previously received messages.
- Sending replies, forwarded messages, and attachments.
- Managing an in-app address book.
- Showing notifications and app badges for new email.
- Deleting email from the mail server after the user-selected retention period.
Local Storage
Maeil Mail stores email messages, account settings, attachments, and address book entries locally on the user's device.
Passwords are stored using the secure storage features provided by the operating system where available.
If the app is deleted from the device, locally stored app data is also removed by the operating system.
Server Communication
Maeil Mail connects directly to the mail servers configured by the user.
The app does not operate its own email server and does not send email account credentials, email content, or address book data to a separate developer-controlled server.
Email data is transmitted to and from the user's configured mail servers according to the server settings entered by the user.
Third-Party Services
Maeil Mail may use operating system services and platform features, including:
- Android notification and badge services.
- iOS notification and badge services.
- File picker or photo picker features for selecting attachments.
- Background task scheduling features for periodic mail checking.
These services are used only to support app functionality.
Data Sharing
Maeil Mail does not sell personal information.
Maeil Mail does not share email account credentials, email content, attachments, or address book data with the app developer or third parties, except when required to operate email features through the mail servers configured by the user.
User Control
Users can:
- Add, edit, or remove email account settings.
- Change the server retention period for received email.
- Delete emails from the app.
- Empty the trash folder.
- Add or delete address book contacts.
- Import or export address book contacts.
- Delete the app to remove locally stored app data from the device.
Security
Maeil Mail uses platform-provided secure storage for saved passwords where available.
Users are responsible for configuring appropriate mail server security settings, such as SSL or STARTTLS, according to their email provider's requirements.
Children's Privacy
Maeil Mail is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
